KATSEYE’s “WILD” may only be five songs long, but these girls managed to pack a whole lot of chaos, flirting, heartbreak, and fun into 14 minutes.

3. PINKY UP

“PINKY UP” is so much fun, and that’s really what it’s all about. The track is about being adventurous, spending time with the people you love, and living life without regrets. It also reminds you not to care too much about what other people think.

The track is cute, chaotic, and carefree. It feels like the musical equivalent of saying, “Eh, screw it,” and going out to make some memories.

2. Bel Air

“Bel Air” finds the group dealing with the possibility of losing someone who’s still constantly on their mind. There’s a lot of regret here, especially when it comes to wondering what could’ve been done differently. If given another chance, they’d choose to pull this person closer instead of running away. The softer, more emotional sound also gives us a side of the group I really enjoyed.

1. Animal

“Animal” brings out a more flirtatious and sensual side of KATSEYE. The track is about someone who appears polished and innocent in public but becomes a completely different person behind closed doors.

The production feels rugged and sexy, giving you something you can actually dance to. It’s a different lane for KATSEYE, and I like it.

KATSEYE’s new EP WILD really shows different sides of the group, and I love it. While the EP only has five songs and runs about 14 minutes, every second feels like it counts.

WILD is undeniably pop-forward, but it refuses to stick to just one sound. One track has you dancing, another gets raw and flirtatious, another feels built for the club, and another is dripping with heat and temptation. There’s a lot of variety here, but surprisingly, none of it feels out of place. Everything fits together really well.

KATSEYE touches on plenty of different sides of life and love throughout the EP. There are moments about being with your girls, falling for someone you’re genuinely into, and dealing with the pain of losing them when you wish you had done things differently. The group makes each moment feel natural, and I had a lot of fun listening to this. I’ll definitely be revisiting it.
