I don’t know Naomi August on a personal level, but the way that she opens up to folks in her music, I feel like I do. In her latest single, “Text With My Ex” with Makio, she does a fantastic job of letting the world know that she doesn’t let exes affect her psyche.

“Text With My Ex” is one of those intoxicating R&B bangers that you are going to want to run back over and over again. Not only does the song feature an instrumental that will both calm your nerves and make you nod your head, but it also features very infectious melodies and lyrics that will encourage you to take your Instagram account off private so that your ex can see how much you’re winning these days (There’s nothing wrong with being petty every once in a while).
