RGM RATING (????????)

A feel-good genre blend with quirky vibes.

New Brunswick creative Mike Trask is a producer and recording artist whose unique multi-genre sound deconstructs the traditional to create something extraordinary. His latest release is the long-awaited album TV Dinner which dropped May 15th. The song “My My, Bye Bye” is a track off the new album that’s also available as a single release and features an accompanying retro-style music video.

The uplifting “My My, Bye Bye” tells the quirky tale of pursuing a wild dream (a trip to the moon) and finding joy in life’s little moments. Sound-wise, the track has a bit of a folksy blues vibe to it, but the genre fusion feels closest to indie rock. On its own, “My My, Bye Bye” already seems unconventional, but the old-school 70s aesthetic of the music video takes it even further with its motorcycle moments.
