RGM RATING (????????)

An uplifting Afropop track that reflects on the importance of self-worth.

Manchester-based Nigerian musician, Kisaavé, is an up-and-coming singer and songwriter with an innovative and unique sound. Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson and Rihanna, Kisaavé considers herself to be a versatile artist. Her musical career pursuits first started back in February of 2020 with her debut track “Olojukokoro.” Kisaavé’s latest release is the pop single “Disrespect” and its accompanying music video.

According to a recent interview with the artist, “Disrespect” is inspired by her ex-manager, who Kisaavé described as “manipulative and an opportunist.” However, despite the negative experience, Kissavé managed to use her insight to craft “Disrespect,” which boasts an incredibly emotional burst of positivity. Kissavé reflects on inner strength and personal pride while an ultra infectious blend of afrobeat and pop sounds is combined with her powerful message. “Disrespect” is the perfect track for anyone who needs to be reminded of their own self-worth.
