Blue Notes 2
Meek Mill & Lil Uzi Vert
RGM RATING (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Two of the hottest in Philly don’t disappoint.
There’s been so much talk about Drake’s upcoming album, Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming album, and Kanye’s album, but what about Meek Mill’s upcoming album? He’s an OG that moves the needle, too, right? These last couple of weeks, the Philly rapper has been prepping us for his upcoming album by releasing singles that will make your ears ring. His latest single, “Blue Notes 2” with Lil Uzi Vert, might be his most explosive drop of the year.

Just like he does in the first “Blue Notes,” Meek Mill raps like a dude that has a chip the size of Texas on his shoulder over production that is both bluesy and hard as hell. As for Lil Uzi Vert, he also spazzes on the track, hitting us with absurd flows and gangsta-ass lyrics. One thing about the song that is hard to understand is whether Meek is speaking from his perspective or someone else’s perspective… Who cares, Q, he was going off (Yes, this song is so ferocious it has me fighting with myself).
Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
