RGM RATING (??????????)

There’s nothing wrong with a little competition with your ex, right?

Tyler Loyal describes himself as a (I’m paraphrasing here) “genre-bending Bostonian with boatloads of confidence.” If you scour through his music catalog, you will agree with him. Not only does he make hip-hop and R&B play nice with one another in his songs, but you might also hear him toy with some pop vibes here and there, too. “Still Mine,” his latest single, is one of his best releases to date.

“Still Mine” boasts everything from fiery deliveries to smooth beats to highly enjoyable melodies. At the end of the day, the reason I think you should have your popcorn out while you listen to the song is because it also features juicy lyrics. Throughout “Still Mine,” Tyler unapologetically lets someone who he once had a good relationship with know that he won’t let her one-up him with the decisions that she chooses in the near future. While such words can come across as petty, our hero does let it be known that (I’m paraphrasing here) “sometimes love comes with toxicity…” S**t, it’s still love, though, right?

Give the very impressive “Still Mine” a shot below!
