I woke up today tired as s**t because I stayed up watching the Super Bowl last night. An hour after rolling out of the bed, I remembered that today was Valentine’s day. The good news is this: There are several music releases that have come out in the last couple of days that will get you in a romantic mood just in time for the evening of this very pointless special day. Surprisingly, one of the best V-day songs that I’ve heard this year is “Banking On Me” by Gunna.

“Banking On Me” is such a slick banger. Over a Metro Boomin’ beat that has a nice tempo and gentle vibes attached to it, Gunna uses smooth melodic raps to let his chick know that she is the number one p guard on his depth chart. Personally, I think that the song features flows that are hella dynamic and melodies that are next-level good. Don’t sleep, Gunna does great work here.

Rappers make better love songs than R&B stars these days (Jaheim may have to unretire).
