Ye Sets Touring History With Record-Breaking SoFi Stadium Concerts


Ye continues rewriting hip-hop history with another record-breaking live achievement.

Ye has added another unbelievable accomplishment to one of hip-hop’s greatest résumés. During his April 1 and April 3 performances at SoFi Stadium, the superstar generated $16.3 million per night, giving him the highest-grossing concerts by any rapper in touring history.

The concerts, which featured guest appearances from his wife Bianca Censori, Travis Scott, North West, and more, also established another benchmark. Ye officially became the first rapper to sell over 70,000 tickets for a single U.S. concert, proving that despite his controversial tweets, hiatus from music, and MAGA ties, fans of his (Hell, fans of music) will always be interested in seeing a show of his.

These achievements arrive shortly after Ye became the artist with the most Gold and Platinum-certified songs in RIAA history. Additionally, his latest album, BULLY, which was released independently, has also been a commercial success, opening at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 while sending 16 songs onto the Hot 100.

Kanye is slated to perform in a few additional cities, such as New Orleans and Chicago, so expect a few more records to be broken along the way.
