Tireek is a Brooklyn native who immersed himself in hip-hop culture throughout his childhood. Eventually, he found his passion in music after spending time drawing, writing, and creating films. Tireek has an impressive flow with honest, vulnerable lyrics. Content-wise, he examines relationship dynamics and personal struggles; in addition, he tries to inspire people going through hard times. His songs are available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Recently, Tireek dropped the hit single “Backslide” with fellow artist Sonia Rose.
“Backslide” has vocals that stand out more than anything else in the song. The juxtaposition of Tireek’s lower, sultry voice and Sonia Rose’s airy, light voice makes this single so pleasing to the ear. Like two sides of the same coin, they sound like the masculine and feminine versions of the same voice.
