Tory Lanez Drops “Taken Care”

Taken Care

Tory Lanez

RGM RATING (??????????)

I clicked on this song not knowing what the hell to expect (That’s how versatile Tory Lanez has become).

The main reason Tory Lanez is probably the most talented musician in the game right now is that he is a chameleon. I’ve heard him spit killer bars on a song, speak Spanish on a song, do an authentic reggae accent on a song, and drop 80s-inspired music for a full damn album. In “Taken Care,” his latest single, Tory dives deep into his R&B bag.

“Taken Care” (Which should probably be called “Taking Care”) reminds me a lot of the music that Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign make. The thing that differentiates Tory from those two outstanding artists is that he is able to reach a pitch that only child singers can reach — which he showcases in this song. Aside from powerful melodies and high pitches, Tory drops juicy lyrics about a woman doing him so dirty that he rather be solo dolo. All in all, “Taken Care” is yet another example of why Tory is uncancellable to many.
