Dobey Dobe is a rapper born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Recently, he moved to Long Beach, California, an area that has helped him grow, thrive, create, and find inspiration as an artist. Dobe is paving his way in the music industry by illustrating his experiences, and he welcomes everyone on the journey. He is not shy about expressing opinions or sharing darker stories that make people ask questions. His honest and forward-thinking music is available on Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. Dobey Dobe’s latest single is “Last Days,” released earlier this year. The song also has an accompanying music video.
Even though “Last Days” is less than two minutes long, Dobe packs all he can into it. There is a high level of consideration and thought that he puts into every element. Each line he hits us with is like a punch; Dobe is sharing something important, so he wants you to pay attention. Content-wise, he raps about the history of black people and the government in the United States. While not explicitly stated, there is some anger and frustration within the lyrics. It requires you to really listen and decipher what each line means. So, check out Dobey Dobe’s “Last Days” to start thinking about civil justice.
