Cooped Up
Post Malone (Ft. Roddy Ricch)
Dropping a single on Kendrick Day is bold…
If you are a music fan, you are probably waiting impatiently for Post Malone’s new album to drop. What I find interesting is that we don’t quite know what kind of music will be on it. Based on the album’s first two singles, it might feature a lot of hip-hop music. Today, Post Malone decided to drop the hip-hop-based “Cooped Up” with Roddy Ricch.
“Cooped Up” is a smooth-ass banger. In the song, Post Malone and Roddy Ricch slyly sing about being served warrants, burning bread, and pulling up to places in nice whips. Though I would call the song a celebratory hit, I am OK with someone calling it a braggadocios hit, too. All in all, people will fall in love with “Cooped Up” because it features a very infectious hook and classic Posty melodies.
I love it when musicians give other musicians their flowers. In this song, Roddy thanks Post for bringing him on tour with him. That’s dope.
