Eastside
Kamakaze
A hip-hop track with dance vibes. Perfect for a night out.
Matt Robinson, otherwise known as Kamakaze, is an English rapper with an interesting past. While he’s always been fascinated with music, he used to be a professional soccer player for teams Luton Town and Dagenham & Redbridge. For the moment, he’s putting soccer on the back burner in exchange for music. Kamakaze’s work is available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. His latest release is the hip-hop single “Eastside.”
My initial reaction was that “Eastside” was a vibe. It could be the British accents, but I started enjoying it as soon as it started. Kamakaze’s coworkers, Jafro and Maniscooler, both feature on the track. They all end up talking about life on the east side of their town. They reminisce about their childhoods, celebrate the exciting moments, and relive their experiences. As someone who is sentimental, I loved hearing them reflect. If you aren’t the sentimental type, lines like, I’m fresher than febreeze (guaranteed to sound better in the song) add to the fun energy. So, stream Kamakaze’s “Eastside” today for some nostalgic lyrics.
