We’re going to miss Young Thug like hell if he has to do any serious time for his pending RICO case. In my opinion, he is one of the most versatile and daring hip-hop artists we’ve ever seen. To prove my point, a brand new track called “Potion,” which features Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, and Thugger, dropped today, and the latter absolutely shines on it.
I’m being a little disingenuous here… What makes this song special is Dua Lipa’s hella infectious hook, which is layered on top of groovy Calvin Harris production. What I will say is this, though: Thugger’s reluctance to conform to the song’s PG-13 nature definitely makes “Potion” an intriguing listen.
This song gives me “Slide” vibes… I F**KING LOVE “Slide!”
