Jean Sam is Danish-born and raised and Copenhagen-based. Sam is a hip-hop and EDM producer who has many different influences. Although his music mainly derives from heavy and polyrhythmic bass genres, he is inspired by all kinds of genres; these include hip-hop music from the 2000s and groups like Crunk. Throughout his career, Sam has been behind the scenes, creating music for various European artists. Now, he’s ready to be at the forefront with his own releases. His music is available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Jean Sam’s latest hit, “KARMA,” is easily one of the biggest hits of his career. The song also has an accompanying music video.
“Karma” was created as a collaboration with David Ray and Michael Rankiao. It has a fresh, new sound that fits into many categories. I can almost guarantee you haven’t heard anything like it. The featuring artists enhance the elements of reggaeton and dancehall perfectly to make it a global piece. Halfway through, Ray even switches languages to sing a verse in Spanish. Clearly, the unexpected aspects make this entire piece that much more enjoyable. Additionally, the collaborating artists pump up the authenticity by simply being skilled in other genres of music.
