Based on all of the songs that she released in 2022, I am very confident that Coi Leray has a bright future. One of the things that stands out to me about her is how versatile she is. Not only have I heard her dig into some hard-hitting rap s**t, but I’ve also heard her drop some soulful s**t, too. Today, Coi decided to bless us with “Wasted,” a track in which she flexes her R&B skills.

Coi Leray is an open book in “Wasted.” Over this stripped-down instrumental, the Boston-born singer uses a numb style of singing to let her partner know that she ain’t with him making more mistakes than Joe Biden at a press conference. What’s interesting is that Coi’s tone stays at the same level throughout the song, telling me that she’s already over the dude she is talking about.
