Thea Loves Playing “HIDE & SEEK”

HIDE & SEEK

Thea

A dreamy R&B single that breaks all regulations.

Berlin-based musical creative, Thea, is a vocalist and songwriter who promises to find the lines between genres and break them. She defines her unique genre-fusing sound as “a space where R&B meets neo-soul and pop blends into hip-hop.” Thea finds inspiration for her creations from Jorja Smith, Anderson .Paak, H.E.R., and Hiatus Kaiyote. Despite those artists’ influence, she prefers to rely on her own sound. Some of the vocalist’s previous work includes tracks like “DO MY THING” and “Sweet Lime.” These songs, and more, are available on Spotify and SoundCloud. Thea’s latest drop is the R&B single “HIDE & SEEK.”

“HIDE & SEEK” is about the games people play when they can’t understand who they are dealing with. When in this situation, nobody remembers your needs, and the other person is prioritized. Lyrics like “I’m too tired of you making wrong decisions / I hide all I think and you’re forgiven” and “Let’s be real right now, I’m too tired of you wanting recognition” explore these relationship struggles. At the same time, they disclose what some are too afraid to say: I’m done, it’s over, and I want my turn.
