HARLEM Keeps His Cool Over Chaotic Production on “Wick Mode”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The HARLEM takeover starts now.

Palm Beach, Florida, has another artist who sounds ready to turn the function upside down. HARLEM brings the kind of energy that should connect with ragers and festival crowds, and he isn’t interested in making background music. Now, he’s back with a new single called “Wick Mode,” and from the name alone, you know he kills s**t.

The track features chaotic instrumentation with a serious bassline, video game-like elements, and an overall restless vibe that will have your speakers reaching for their waists. Frfr, there’s barely a moment where the production lets you get comfortable.

Thankfully, HARLEM doesn’t sound intimidated by any of it. He comes through with a chill tone and a fast-paced flow, sounding like he whoops ass without breaking a sweat. You have to respect the contrast between his relaxed delivery and everything exploding around him (Pause).

Lyrically, he lets you know that playing with him means getting more shots sent your way than a wide receiver. Subtle? Absolutely not. But subtle wouldn’t fit this beat anyway. All in all, “Wick Mode” is an action-packed listen that sounds tough and feels built for a younger crowd ready to rage.
