I vividly remember when Gucci Mane was on top of the world. Not only did he have a wock belly, but he also had several mixtapes and so many viral videos. Today, Gucci Mane dropped a new single called “06 Gucci,” in it he, along with DaBaby and 21 Savage, pays homage to his younger self.
I think I luv it! “06 Gucci” is easily one of the toughest records to hit streaming services this year. First and foremost, I love the riveting, chilling trap beat that powers the song. Secondly, I think that DaBaby and 21 Savage both drop hard-ass verses that show the world that they are more than capable of walking in Gucci’s shoes for at least ten minutes. Lastly, Gucci Mane’s verse perfectly describes how much he has grown, and how much he is still willing to slap folks in the face. All in all, “06 Gucci” is the perfect blast to the past.
