Keely Demands Real Love on “Public”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

A chill R&B anthem about love that deserves the spotlight.

Keely might be one of my favorite artists right now. In my very humble opinion, she does R&B the right way while showing zero fear in dabbling in pop, indie, and whatever else you throw at her. I am pretty sure she would excel with metal, too (Hell, I would pay to see that).

In her latest single, “Public,” Keely continues to stand out, and we love every second of it.

“Public” is a collaboration between Keely and Peterfeelgood, and what they cook up boasts chill, textured production and a driving beat. Keely delivers vocals that straddle the line between unapologetic and confrontational while remaining emotional, as she talks about wanting the same kind of love she gets privately to be shown publicly by her partner. I think that’s fair, right?

The track is certainly a vibe, but more importantly, it is the kind of record that could make you fall in love with the artist… Both privately and publicly.
