NAV and Young Thug Reunite on Bouncy New Single “Trimski”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A carefree, flex-heavy reunion from two longtime collaborators.

NAV and Young Thug’s relationship goes back further than 6ix9ine’s hairline. Not only have they linked up plenty of times in the past, including on tracks like “Repercussions,” “Tussin,” and “No Debate,” but it also seems like they genuinely hang out. NAV once mentioned they were together when the Toronto Raptors won the championship in 2019, a massive moment for Canadians everywhere.

Now, on a random and glorious Wednesday, the duo has reunited for a new track titled “Trimski.”

“Trimski” gets the job done if you are a fan of both artists. Over bouncy production, the two rappers lean into braggadocious bars about their playa lifestyles and flashy jewelry, while also talking about wiping noses. The standout moment is the catchy chorus, handled by NAV. Young Thug also shines with his unbothered, carefree tone throughout his verse. Overall, the track feels light and effortless, yet it might still move the needle.

Now someone is going to have to explain what “trimski” means to my old ass.
