Gucci Mane Is “Married with Millions”

Gucci Mane

I’m married with ten dollars in my bank account.

Can you believe that Gucci Mane is the prime example of resiliency? Remember, just ten or so years ago, he was hopping in and out of jail and had a big-ass gut. Now he’s a happily married man with two adorable kids and tons of money. F**k being like Mike; I want to be like Gucci! Today, the Atlanta rapper returned to the music scene with a new single called “Married with Millions.” In it, he appropriately gives himself several pats on the back.

In “Married with Millions,” Gucci Mane talks about his past conflicts, his homies that are locked up, and the boss moves he’s been making these past couple of years. What I like about the song is its simplicity. It’s powered by a low-key but dramatic trap beat, simple flows, and straightforward lyrics. When a ninja finds peace, it usually sounds like this.

I’ve heard tough-ass rap songs by three 40-year-olds today (Gucci Mane, 50 Cent, and Nas). 40 is the new 20.
