Lupe Fiasco Spits Impressive Bars In “Roc-A-Fella Y’all”

Disclaimer: Lupe Fiasco is not signed to Roc-A-Fella.

I’ll be honest with you; I have completely stopped paying attention to Lupe Fiasco’s music. This is significant because I am a massive fan of his first two albums, Food & Liquor and The Cool. While I don’t think his rapping skills have deteriorated, it was the fact that he was releasing new music on Facebook that was pissing me off. The good news is this: “Roc-A-Fella Y’all,” Lupe’s latest release, is actually on Spotify!

This is how you f**king drive, Lupe! In “Roc-A-Fella Y’all,” a track powered by a dramatic, hard-hitting beat, the Chicago rapper puts his head down and straight raps. Not only does he flow excellently, but he also hits us with hefty punchlines and lyrics that indicate he still knows how to straddle the line between lecturer and cool negro. In my humble opinion, this is the version of Lupe that is a top 10 rapper of all time (Yea, I said it).

My homie said that Lupe Fiasco would be considered a legendary rapper if he retired after he dropped The Cool. I mean, what if Biggie dropped more than two albums, y’all might view him differently.
