French Montana & Swae Lee Reunite For “Wish U Well”

Wish U Well

French Montana (Ft. Swae Lee)

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Whether you like it or not, French Montana and Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” jam is one of the greatest songs of all time. As a matter of fact, the song is so great it caused a dispute between Montana and Swae, both of whom wanted to take credit for its creation. The good news is this: The two artists are cool now and have decided to reunite for a new collaboration single called “Wish U Well.”

I hate this song. While I appreciate the infectious Afro vibes in the production and Swae Lee’s captivating vocals throughout, I can’t help but feel that it comes across as a somewhat hasty attempt to replicate the magic of “Unforgettable,” a track I believe was a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. Maybe it’s just me.

French Montana and Swae Lee have both been busy in 2023. While the former has dropped solo singles such as “Good Summer” and “I Can’t Lie” (With Kodak Black), the latter was featured on Travis Scott’s amazing UTOPIA album.
