Sexyy Red really is Queen Ratchet.
Contrary to popular belief, I love me some Sexyy Red! While she isn’t the best rapper ever, I just love how unapologetic and confident she is. I also think she’s hilarious as f**k. In SR’s music, you’ll hear a few funny-ass bars, and when you put a camera on her, she’s even funnier. Recently, the St. Louis native was featured on “Pound Town 2” and the “Peaches & Eggplants” remix by Young Nudy and 21 Savage. Today, she decided to do her solo dolo thing by releasing a new single called “Shake Yo Dreads.”
“Shake Yo Dreads” is an old-school-sounding club banger. In the song, which is powered by this explosive beat that reminds me of some vintage Rick Ross s**t, Sexyy Redd lets us know the kind of people she likes to hang out with, the kind of people she tends to ignore, and the kind of partying she wants everyone around her to do. The number one reason you should press play on the song is because it has a hella catchy hook. The second reason you should press play on it is because we haven’t heard fighting music like this since Lil Scrappy and Crime Mob were poppin’ (We need more fighting music in the world).
