NBA YoungBoy is back to releasing new music every other day.

I’m sure you’ve caught wind of J. Cole’s verse on Lil Yachty’s latest track, “The Secret Recipe.” There’s some buzz going around that Cole might have thrown some shade at NBA YoungBoy. While I wouldn’t necessarily label “Heard Of Me” as a direct response to Cole, the Louisiana artist does come through with some hard-hitting lyrics on the track.

It will take some time for “Heard Of Me” to resonate with you. To begin with, the song features an unorthodox, old-school hip-hop beat that could easily excite fans of artists like Eazy-E and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Over this beat, as expected, NBA YoungBoy delivers assertive lyrical content, reminding listeners once again that he’s like the real-life Grim Reaper and has one of the most impressive come-up stories in the game. Although I didn’t initially connect with the song’s rhythm, it gradually grew on me as it played on.

Give “Heard Of Me” by NBA YoungBoy a shot below.
