Lil Wayne, Buju Banton, Jeymes Samuel & Shabba Ranks Link Up For “Hallelujah Heaven”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

These are the random-ass songs that Wayne was showing up on during his prime.

You should’ve been there when Lil Wayne was on top of the world. Amidst his prolific output of hard-hitting rap records, he also ventured into experimenting with various genres. One noteworthy genre where he showcased his talent was reggae music. Wayne has once again decided to tackle the genre as today he released a new song on streaming services titled “Hallelujah Heaven,” featuring Jeymes Samuel, Buju Banton, and Shabba Ranks.

I’m not sure whose song this is, why it was released, or when it was created. What I do know is that Lil Wayne delivers an outstanding performance on it. In “Hallelujah Heaven,” we witness a highly focused version of the New Orleans rapper who is determined to receive recognition, dismiss his rivals, and assert the greatness of his congregation. The other artists on the track contribute animated verses that celebrate the power and influence of God. Overall, this track evokes classic Bob Marley vibes with a twist of modern hip-hop.

Wayne has been killing s**t as of late.
