Hayes Warner Experiences Holiday Heartbreak on “Worst Time Of Year”

A cleverly crafted, unapologetic anti-holiday anthem.

Hayes Warner is a rising pop singer-songwriter hailing from New York City. Fueled by a longstanding passion for music, she has been writing her own songs since the age of 14. Over the past year, Warner has embarked on a tour with Fetty Wap, graced the stage at the Jonas Group iHeart Radio Festival, and performed at NYC’s iconic Mercury Lounge. Her notable songwriting credits include work for Netflix, Disney, Paramount, and Fox, as well as creating the 2022 team theme for the NBA Golden State Warriors. Signed with Daniel Glass of Glassnote Records and his publishing division, Connection Music Publishing, Hayes Warner’s latest release is the pop single “Worst Time Of Year.”

With an ironically cheery blend of infectious instrumentals and festive bells, “Worst Time Of Year” provides a wonderfully feel-good backdrop to perfectly contrast the tune’s angsty anti-holiday tale. Lyrics like “This time of year always sucks but it’s worse now, You were the buffer between me and break down” and “I’m forced to fake cheer, With people I hate, And you were the one thing that made it okay” offer up an emotionally charged exploration about experiencing heartbreak during the holiday season. Fueled with passion-filled vocals and just the right amount of moodiness, Hayes Warner gives us a delightfully untraditional take on holiday music. So, press play and prepare for the “Worst Time Of Year.”
