Lil Nas X Thinks He’s “J CHRIST”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

When it comes to shock value, Lil Nas X is Wilt Chamberlain. His videos are provocative as hell, his lyrics oftentimes s**ts on companies (I’m looking at you, BET), and his unapologeticness when it comes to his sexual orientation is something we’ve never seen before. Today, Nas X decided to turn things up a notch by dropping a song called “J CHRIST” (Yikes).

Believe it or not, we got nothing/finito from Lil Nas X last year. His previous single was actually the fantastic “STAR WALKIN’” from 2022. Going from releasing nothing to releasing a song called “J CHRIST” is bolder than anything your keyboard can do.

The funny thing about “J CHRIST” is that it sounds like a basic hip-hop banger. In it, LIl Nas X hits us with hopscotch, Miss Mary Mack-ass flows over this part-time menacing, part-time colorful beat (The beat gives me “HUMBLE” vibes). As for lyrically, his verses speak on him being back, putting on for the gays like him, and destroying his completion. This song gives an entirely new meaning to what would Jesus do.

I have a feeling there might be a chance of lightning in Lil Nas X’s neighborhood tomorrow morning…
