Jennifer Lopez & Latto “Can’t Get Enough”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Isn’t it remarkable? Jennifer Lopez has quietly built a lengthy and successful pop career right under our noses (both real and fake noses). The first track I encountered from her was “If You Had My Love” in 1999 when I was just a child. What I find admirable about J-Lo is her knack for adapting to the new generation in her music, ensuring she never feels outdated. In her latest single, “Can’t Get Enough,” featuring Latto, she effortlessly blends contemporary and classic vibes.

In “Can’t Get Enough,” Jennifer Lopez and Latto express their infatuation with men who treat them well. They highlight the thoughtful gifts, romantic gestures, and the ability of these men to balance street smarts with romantic charm.

As expected, Jennifer Lopez delivers passionate vocals and lovely melodies in “Can’t Get Enough,” reminiscent of her sound from earlier years (Love has a way of making people sound young again). On the other hand, Latto contributes aggressive and powerful raps to the song. While I appreciate both of their performances, and Hit-Boy’s flowery hip-hop beat is quite impressive, I find the “I’m Still In Love (With You)” reference unnecessary.

When this song first started, I literally assumed we were about to hear a “Crazy In Love” remix.
