Key Glock Keeps Memphis Buzzing With Gritty New Single “Loco”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Key Glock sticks to his formula on “Loco,” and it works.

Memphis has been in the headlines lately for all kinds of reasons (from LeBron James throwing shade at the city to Pooh Shiesty getting shiesty on Gucci), but through it all, the city’s music scene continues to hold strong. One of its most reliable voices, Key Glock, decided to drop a new single called “Loco,” and it leans into the sound fans have come to expect from him.

“Loco” is powered by a bass-heavy, Memphis-rooted beat that carries a dark, almost hypnotic melody. It’s the kind of production that has you vibing while also keeping an eye on your Ring cameras. Glock fits right into that pocket, delivering verses with his signature steady, unbothered tone.

Lyrically, he keeps things straightforward. He talks about his lifestyle, plucking women, his money, and his readiness to handle anyone who tries to test him. Now that we know what we know about Memphis ninjas, I believe every word he spews.

What stands out most is his consistency. Glock doesn’t overextend himself here. Instead, he cruises through the track, especially on the chorus, where he sounds relaxed and in complete control.

I feel like Key Glock is the kind of trap rapper who meditates.
