Chief Keef & Mike WILL Made-It both shine in “DIRTY NACHOS.”

5. WATCH FOR THE PIGS

Them pigs been real greasy lately, too.

If you told me that “WATCH FOR THE PIGS” was created in 2009, I would fully believe you. The song is powered by this menacing, action-packed beat that prime Rick Ross would’ve probably destroyed. The good news is this: Chief Keef puts up a performance that defies eras. Throughout the track, he switches between sounding like Rich The Kid and a real-life villain that is capable of holding overly generous women hostage. So, why do I think the song is kind of fire? Because it sounds raw as f**k, which I believe is when Keef is fully at his best.

4. BANG BANG

No one is better at making sluggish drill records than Chief Keef.

“BANG BANG” may not be the most sonically pleasing track at first listen. Its primal, jungle-like beat prompts Chief Keef to deliver some of his most lethargic vocals on the album. Initially, you might question the track’s direction, but as it progresses, you’ll begin to appreciate Keef’s catchy rap flows and carefree lyrics.

Can we all agree that Chief Keef’s “Bang Bang” adlib is the best ever?

3. HARLEY QUINN

These are those Rambo-ass tracks that I love from Chief Keef.

In “HARLEY QUINN,” it’s straight mayhem! Set against an epic beat that evokes impending doom or Godzilla stomping through the city, Chief Keef unleashes fury. He takes shots at his elementary school teachers, those who didn’t come through with packs when he needed them, and the haters who wish him dead. His yelling on the track is relentless, sounding like a drunken first-class passenger on a rampage.

2. STATUS

When did Chief Keef become a punchline king?

Hands down, I think the best beat on this album is featured on “STATUS.” It’s dark as hell and complex.
The beat doesn’t dictate Chief Keef’s direction; instead, he maintains an unbothered vibe while candidly talking about chicks who eat Johnsons and his dominance over his competition.

I admire Chief Keef’s consistent flow in this track. Also, his subtle punchlines hit the mark, and the way he effortlessly talks s**t is pretty funny.

1. PULL UP GHOST-CLAN

Somebody in the know, help translate what the title of this song means.

I’d categorize “PULL UP GHOST-CLAN” as “hop-scotch rap.” With its booming beat and the rap styles of Chief Keef and 2 Chainz, you could easily imagine yourself playing hopscotch or engaging in a clapping game like Miss Mary Mack while listening to the song.

Apart from the song’s incredibly enjoyable sound, I also appreciate the stellar performances from both Chief Keef and 2 Chainz. Their confident rap styles and cool-ass lyrics about their extravagant purchases definitely struck a chord with me. Additionally, the song boasts an excellent chorus.

RGM RATING

(C+)

This album isn’t one you can evaluate based on individual tracks. It’s a deep dive into Chief Keef’s world of violence, promiscuity, and extravagant spending. If you’re unwilling to immerse yourself in that world, you might not appreciate this album.

There’s a delicate balance between evolving as an artist and staying true to your roots, isn’t there? While I appreciate artists experimenting with new styles, there’s something comforting about those who stick to what made them great in the first place. In DIRTY NACHOS, Chief Keef remains the same carefree artist we heard in “I Don’t Like.” Alongside his explicit content, he continues to explore the raw, aggressive rap styles that defined his earlier work. The nostalgic Mike WILL Made-It beats only add to the vintage drill vibe, making it feel like a perfect throwback to the past. Will some songs come across as too f**king raw? Yes, but that comes with the territory of being a Keef fan.

Ignore the ratings I gave each song on this album. The project is a good listen that HAS TO BE played from start to finish.
