NBA YoungBoy Bounces Off The Walls In “Catch Him”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

There’s a dude on the Memphis Grizzlies that looks like NBA YoungBoy. His name is GG Jackson. How ironic is that? Anyway, NBA YoungBoy returned to the music scene today with a fresh single titled “Catch Him.” I’m guessing it might find a spot on his upcoming project, I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders. Interestingly, this would mark his first solo project of the year.

I feel like I am no longer qualified to review NBA YoungBoy tracks. These days, when I listen to his s**t, I feel hella confused. I’ll take a shot here, though. In “Catch Him,” NBA YoungBoy delves into familiar territory, discussing violence against his enemies, his sexual conquests, and his relentless partying. As usual, his delivery is erratic, tottering between seriousness and nonchalance. Despite this, his commanding presence dominates the menacing beat (I suspect this is partly due to the beat’s low volume).

NBA YoungBoy will never settle down, will he?
