Whether you like his music or not, Yeat is here to stay. That means you must get used to your ears feeling like they are being electrocuted when you hear one of his songs. Interestingly, the last project we received from Yeat, 2093, wasn’t that left field. While that might have resonated well with casual fans like myself, his core fanbase may not have been as enthusiastic about it. However, Yeat’s latest single, “HeliMAn,” aligns more closely with the sound and style his dedicated listeners are accustomed to.
“HeliMAn” is driven by intergalactic, booming production that could f**k up your speakers, leaving them looking like Scottie Pippen’s head after he received that elbow from Alonzo Mourning back in the day. Over this intense backdrop, Yeat talks his s**t early and often. The Portland native not only calls out fake shooters but also boasts about his extensive arsenal of guns and his wealth. While the song has moments of catchiness, there are also instances where it feels a bit shaky. Nevertheless, I believe it’s a light but hype-inducing track.
I want to see Yeat in some beef. That would be interesting as f**k.
