Atlanta boasts a rich pool of major producers, including the likes of Metro Boomin and Zaytoven, who have made significant contributions to the music industry. Among these notable producers is Southside, who stands out as one of the hottest talents in Atlanta. Today, he released a new single featuring two prominent artists from the city, Ken Carson & Destroy Lonely.
To say this track isn’t my cup of tea is an understatement. “President” features this spooky, thrift store quality beat that actually gives me old-school Jeezy vibes. Spoiler Alert: Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson do not put up Jeezy-like performances. Instead, they use very sluggish styles of rapping to brag about their rockstar lifestyles, luxurious items, and playa ways. Personally, I don’t ever want to hear this track again, but at the same time, I have to get used to s**t like this if I want to enjoy music for the next ten years.
