For those who missed my review of FERG’s last single, “MDMX,” he has decided to drop the A$AP from his name. While I can’t explain his reasons for this change, I personally believe it was a good move for him, especially considering some members of the group expressed that they no longer f**k with him.
Now that the change is pretty much official, it seems like FERG has his foot on the gas. Today, he returned to the music scene with a new single called “Roemello.” Thankfully, he sounds like his old self in it.

In “Roemello,” you get an unchained version of FERG, which will prompt you to say, “What else is new.” Throughout the track, he mentions the land he’s buying in the Dominican Republic, his diamonds that dance better than Chris Brown, and the smoke he’s always ready to face. He also boasts about the model chicks he’s smashing every day.
The song’s production and Ferg’s wild rapping style go hand in hand. The former has a tumultuous, video game-like vibe, while the latter switches his flow recklessly, comes across as the perfect hype man, and sounds pretty chill at times. All in all, this track is designed to make you shake dreads and rage.
If Luka had played basketball with FERG’s energy last night, they would have won game 4.
