Polo G Sees “Angels In The Sky”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The streets need a new Polo G album ASAP.

Sometimes, Polo G seems less into rapping than he used to be. In the past, he’s talked about the emotional toll of creating a full album, so maybe that doesn’t excite him as much anymore. As a fan, though, I selfishly want him to bless us with some fresh material.

Looks like my wish might be coming true because today, Polo G dropped a brand new single called “Angels In The Sky.” This marks his second release of the year, with “Sorrys & Ferraris” being the other one.

I was walkin’ through the trenches with my gun in hand
I know losses come with the gang, but that wasn’t the plan
Huh, I know when to speak after silence
Man down, they catchin’ Bs, you hear them sirens

More Fire: Polo G “Sorrys & Ferraris” Review

In “Angels In The Sky,” Polo G bares his soul, delving into the dangers of growing up in Chicago, his past struggles with suicidal thoughts, and his embrace of a violent lifestyle. He also reminisces about the good times with his gang, pledging his unwavering loyalty to them.

While Polo G delivers his signature emotional melodic raps in this track, there are moments where he taps deeply into his dark side. Overall, listeners will likely appreciate the potent chorus, hard-hitting beat, and authentic street vibe of this track.

Polo G talks like a 37-year-old who’s seen it all.

It may not be common to describe a Christmas-set, unrated, obscenely grotesque gore-fest as a feel-good movie, but Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 is precisely that.
