Lucky Daye Dazzles In “Soft”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Lucky Daye stepped out of his comfort zone for this one.

If this were the ’80s, I fully believe Lucky Daye would be considered one of the hottest artists on the planet. His versatility and marketability as an R&B singer are reminiscent of icons like Lionel Richie. Unfortunately, this is 2024, and music fans just aren’t praising artists like him enough.

Well, you know what they say, right? If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. In Lucky Daye’s latest single, “Soft,” he channels a vintage ’80s sound that suits him perfectly.

“Soft” by Lucky Daye is a truly heartwarming record. According to Lucky, the song is all about embracing the things society often labels as “soft,” such as cuddling, PDA, hugging, and kissing – without any shame. It’s also about the magic of love and how it puts a spell on you.

Aside from Lucky Daye’s lovely words, “Soft” also boasts a rock/R&B vibe that is truly captivating, beautiful vocals, stunning melodies, and an overall feel that transports listeners back to the days when Stevie Wonder was exploring beyond the piano.
