We rank all of MoneyBagg Yo’s albums thus far.
4. 43VA Heartless (2019)

The artwork attached to this album always freaked me out.
43VA HEARTLESS is the most forgettable album in MoneyBagg Yo’s catalog. While he uses it to solidify his commanding persona, built up perfectly in his previous album RESET, it lacks megasmash hits or standout tracks. Instead, it maintains a consistent club trap vibe throughout. Nonetheless, the album does feature highlights such as “Dior,” “Drais,” and “Relentless Again.”
3. RESET (2018)

I was shocked at how good this album was when I first heard it.
I won’t lie and say I knew MoneyBagg Yo from his earlier days when he was all about the word “federal.” I really became a fan of his with the release of RESET. Initially, assuming he was just another trap rapper, I was impressed by his versatility on the album. He went toe to toe with J. Cole on “Say Na,” nailed several love tracks like “In Her Voice” and “Tryna Do,” and even showcased his singing abilities here and there. To me, this is a fantastic debut album.
2. A Gangsta’s Pain (2021)

This was peak MoneyBagg Yo. I don’t know if he can get back to where he was when he dropped this album.
“Wockesha” is undeniably MoneyBagg Yo’s biggest track, dominating the airwaves, clubs, and my mind on repeat. Its massive popularity alone elevates A Gangsta’s Pain to 2. But don’t sleep on the rest of the album: it boasts other standout singles that significantly impact it. My personal favorite, “Time Today,” along with “Shottas (Lala)” and “GO!,” further solidify the project’s excellence.
Just to let you know, this isn’t my favorite MoneyBagg Yo album.
1. Time Served (2020)

I started to view MoneyBagg Yo as a B-list artist once “Time Served” came around.
I thought MoneyBagg Yo was an underappreciated artist until Time Served came out. With this album, he really began to find his knack for creating dynamic trap bangers, collaborating with other big-time trap artists like Lil Baby, Future, DaBaby, and Fredo Bang. Additionally, he gained many more fans around this time due to his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion. Thankfully, he got a nice hit record out of that relationship: “All Dat.”

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
