Ice Spice Shows Off Her “Phatt Butt”

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Respectfully, Ice Spice is so useless sometimes.

Ice Spice is gearing up to release one of the most highly anticipated debut albums in a long time. Consider all she’s achieved up to this point: appearing at the Super Bowl with Taylor Swift, dropping the major hit single “Munch,” and featuring in several high-profile commercials. The time is now for the voluptuous redhead.

In July, Ice Spice’s Y2K album will hit streaming services. We’ve already heard the first single from it, “Gimme A Light.” Now, her second single, “Phatt Butt,” has also been released.

Ice Spice talks a lot of smack in “Phat Butt.” Throughout the track, she calls out someone who makes subpar songs, imitates her style, and uses ghostwriters. Ice also boasts about being dubbed a princess by the queen (aka Nicki Minaj), claims she can steal her competition’s men, and, of course, flaunts her ample posterior.

So, people aren’t going to like this track at all. The production sounds a little wacky, and despite her fast-paced flow, Ice Spice’s delivery lacks confidence, making her sound somewhat like a rookie. Nonetheless, this track should at least galvanize her Spicers (that’s what her diehard fans are called, right?).

I still can’t get over the fact that the name of her album is written on a trash can.
