Rod Wave Returns With “Lonely”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Rod Wave’s videos cost like $30.

Rod Wave is moving just as many units as your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. One of the reasons someone might find this surprising is because he lives a pretty low-key life when he’s not promoting a new album.

Last year, Rod Wave released Nostalgia, an album that features a bunch of tracks that I love, like “Call Your Friends,” “Rap Beef,” and “Great Gatsby.” This year, he’s been quiet, only releasing two singles: “Numb” and “Lonely.”

In “Lonely,” Rod Wave talks about the up-and-down relationship he has with his girl. While they love each other, they fight as much as they smooch. The good thing is that they are trying to make s**t work.

As expected, Rod Wave delivers passionate vocals that, when paired with the soulful production, create a sound that is quintessentially him. As a matter of fact, it might feel like you’ve heard this track before.

I rock with the way Rod Wave moves.
