Yung Honcho Keeps It Real In “In My Thoughts”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

You get nothing but real sentiments in this track.

Do you know why I can’t get enough of emotional trap music? Because I can’t get enough of real words being spoken on wax. Someone who makes some great emotional trap music is Yung Honcho.

These past two years, Yung Honcho has been incredibly active, releasing numerous projects—about four—and dropping several singles. His latest release is a new single called “In My Thoughts.”

In “In My Thoughts,” Yung Honcho delves into themes of staying focused on the grind, mourning lost friends, and dealing with the snakes who tried to play him. He also touches on some playa s**t, bringing a moment of lightness to the track. Besides Honcho’s deep lyrics, what stands out are his passionate vocals and the song’s uptempo, emotional trap beat. When you combine all these elements, you get a pure trap hit.
