Akuvi Has “No Words”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Ironically, you get plenty of powerful words in this wonderful gem.

Akuvi is incredibly talented. As a Norwegian-Ghanaian, she excels not only as a singer with a beautiful voice but also as a songwriter who integrates dance and art into her creative expression. Also, her lyrical prowess is almost poetic, adding depth to her artistry.

Throughout her career, Akuvi, drawing inspiration from Burna Boy and Jhene Aiko, has garnered critical acclaim with singles like “Diamonds,” “Triumph,” and “Som du er.” Her latest standout is the impressive single “No Words.”

In “No Words,” Akuvi explores a relationship that quietly faded away, marked by silence instead of conflict (Yes, she actually speaks in this track). Her storytelling resonates deeply, drawing listeners in with its narrative depth. The smooth afro-fusion instrumentation adds an infectious allure, complementing Akuvi’s captivating vocals and creating a soothing overall vibe. It’s possible that the relationship Akuvi reflects on was burdensome.
