Drake’s latest Billboard record feels almost impossible to replicate.
For years, Drake has treated the Billboard Hot 100 like his personal playground. Every new release seems to come with another handful of chart records, and his latest accomplishment might be one of the strangest and most impressive yet.
According to the latest chart data, Drake has officially had songs peak at every position within the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first artist ever to achieve the feat. The milestone arrives during a period of complete chart domination, with songs from ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR occupying a significant portion of the Hot 100. Meanwhile, “Janice STFU” and “Shabang” continue to lead the way in the Top 5.
The crazy part is that this isn’t a record you can intentionally chase. You can’t plan for a song to peak at No. 17 or No. 29 years in advance. It requires an absurd combination of longevity, volume, timing, and fan support.
Records are made to be broken, but this one feels different. Given how fragmented music consumption has become, it’s fair to wonder if we’ll ever see another artist even get close.
Drake has now had songs peak at every position within the top 40 on the Hot 100.
