Lizzo is done with discourse!

July 21st was a notable Sunday with President Joe Biden announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 reelection race and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor.

Lizzo voiced her support for Harris in a recent Instagram video, addressing critics who claim Harris hasn’t achieved much in her role. Lizzo challenged these critics, saying, “For everyone saying Kamala Harris didn’t do anything as VP, please, for $5,000, don’t use Google and tell me what any vice president has ever done during their term that was notably impactful.”

The Grammy winner continued, saying, “The vice president’s role is to take a backseat and support while the president handles the forward-facing responsibilities.” She ended her statement with a call for honesty, exclaiming, “Can we all just be for real?” Lizzo added, “I think there’s enough BS in the world. Let’s all be for real and just say our quiet parts out loud because the discourse is tired!”

Given Lizzo’s prominence, it would be intriguing to see if Kamala Harris invites her as a guest speaker at a campaign rally. That could add a fascinating dynamic to the campaign.
