“Choosin’ Texas” leads a top 10 featuring Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Drake, and another Langley hit.

Ella Langley officially owned the summer of 2026.

Her record-breaking country smash “Choosin’ Texas” finishes at No. 1 on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart, adding another significant accomplishment to its growing resume. The ranking measures songs’ cumulative Billboard Hot 100 performance between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Langley also becomes the first female country artist to earn Billboard’s official Song of the Summer title. She is not the first woman overall, as previous female winners include Brandy and Monica, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Iggy Azalea.

“Choosin’ Texas” had plenty of competition. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” finishes at No. 2, while Langley claims another top-three position with “Be Her.” Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” lands at No. 4, and Drake’s “Janice STFU” rounds out the top five.

The remaining positions belong to “Boston,” “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” “So Easy (To Fall in Love),” “Man I Need,” and “Dracula.”

“Choosin’ Texas” joins an eclectic collection of summer champions, including “Ordinary,” “I Had Some Help,” “Last Night,” “As It Was,” “Butter,” and “Old Town Road.”

With the track also spending 22 weeks atop the Hot 100, calling this anything less than an all-time country crossover run would be selling it short.
