Mike WiLL Made-It Calls On Lil Wayne & Lil Yachty For “high3r”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is a helluva first single for an album.

Mike WiLL Made-It should, and probably will, be recognized as one of the greatest hip-hop producers ever. He has collaborated with nearly everyone in the genre and a few major players outside it. Mike’s debut album, released in 2017, was a solid effort that showcased his talent and versatility.

Soon, Mike WiLL Made-It will release a new album called R3set, proving he’s as relevant as ever. The first single from it is “high3r,” featuring Lil Wayne and Lil Yachty.

Ain’t no competition
Two Perccies in my hands
She just washed ’em back
Already off a Xan
I been rollin’ all night (Ear Drummers)
Barely can feel my hands
G6 ’boutta take flight
Get a bitch out of her pants

Lil Wayne in “high3r”

Lil Yachty starts things off with some of the nastiest but dopest vocals you’ll hear today, which layer especially well over Mike WiLL Made-It’s dramatic, dark production. Lil Wayne follows in Yachty’s path, showcasing vocals that aren’t quite as nasty-sounding but definitely verge on cringe. Lyrically, the two rappers discuss turning chicks out in various ways, flaunting exclusive Balenciaga gear and popping perks like Flintstones vitamins. Overall, the track is intoxicating enough to warrant a replay.

I think my ears have adjusted to Lil Yachty’s poor singing moments.
