E.I. Uh ohhhh, indeed!
Nelly, 49, was arrested on Wednesday at a casino near St. Louis after a Missouri Highway Patrol officer allegedly discovered four illegal ecstasy pills in his possession. Nelly’s lawyer argued that the rapper was unfairly targeted by an “overzealous” officer who conducted an improper search.
The incident took place around 4:45 a.m., with the “Country Grammar” rapper being detained and then released by police in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Nelly’s lawyer expressed strong confidence in the outcome, stating, “I am 100% confident this case will go nowhere.” He also dismissed the ecstasy accusations as baseless, predicting the case will likely be dismissed.
For those who might need a reminder, Nelly is a legendary figure in St. Louis with multiple Grammy awards and a historic hip-hop debut album, “Country Grammar.” More recently, he was in the news for positive reasons, as he and his partner (who are now either engaged or married) announced they were expecting a child. Hopefully, this alleged ecstasy incident won’t interfere with his family plans.
