B.o.B – Space Time
(C+)
B.o.B is a changed man.
One of my all-time favorite albums is B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. I was captivated by the way B.o.B. experimented with different sounds on that project, and it really showcased his incredible skills. Fast forward to today, and B.o.B. is still pushing the envelope with his latest project, Space Time. On this album, he leans into his eccentric side, delivering sermons, calling people out, and diving into conspiracy theories—some of which are pretty out there, even for me. He also experiments with unconventional beats and unique samples, clearly aiming for shock value—and he succeeds. All in all, the album is an interesting listen.

YK Osiris – Dear Fans
(B)
My mans, YK Osiris.
YK Osiris has experienced both soaring highs and crushing lows throughout his career. At his peak, he was dropping hits that were all over the radio, but at his lowest, he became the subject of ridicule within the music industry. Going through both extremes has a way of humbling a person, and that’s the space I feel YK Osiris is in today. His latest project, Dear Fans, reflects that humility. Though it’s a short project with just eight tracks, it features heartfelt lyrics, passionate vocal performances, and touching R&B instrumentals that capture a more grounded and introspective side of him.
Favorite tracks: “Dear Fans” “They Don’t Love You” & “Times Goes By.”
38 Spesh – Mother & Gun
(B)
38 Spesh says this is his most personal project yet.
I’ll admit, I’m not deeply familiar with 38 Spesh’s discography. I know he’s affiliated with Griselda and operates in the underground scene, but this album is reportedly his most personal work yet. Throughout the project, he touches on topics like his mother and his rise to success. Despite this, the majority of his lyrics still center around his usual themes—drug dealing and street life. Overall, the beats on this album, which have a throwback and an old-school feel, are solid, and the rapping is top-notch, as always.
Favorite Tracks: “Speshal Methods,” “Had It Coming,” and “WHAT UU BOUT”
