That Mexican OT Links Up With Curren$y & LE$ For “1982”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I’m not sure I’ve heard That Mexican OT rap over some smooth s**t like this before.

That Mexican OT’s work ethic is truly impressive. Since bursting onto the scene, he’s consistently released tracks, dropped multiple projects, and participated in numerous interviews. What stands out the most to me is his choice of collaborators. Despite his rising popularity and the potential to team up with any artist, he remains selective in his partnerships. I really appreciate that about him.

Today, one of That Mexican OT’s most unique collaborations dropped on streaming services: “1982,” featuring Curren$y and LE$.

In “1982,” That Mexican OT sticks to his signature style, rapping about getting violent, hooking up, and indulging in some sticky icky. While his content is as entertaining as ever, what stands out is hearing his brash, tongue-twisting flow over the laidback, breezy instrumentation. LE$ and Curren$y fit the vibe perfectly, delivering laid-back verses with lyrics that reinforce their status as some of the coolest in the game. Overall, the vibes on this track are impeccable.
